Default AEM wide band

HAs anyone had problems using this wide-band with race gas. Every time I get back from running the car on race gas it kills the sensor. Any suggestions?

try running some reg gas through it after you run your race gas it usually cleans up the sensor

that is correct. AEM does not warranty the sensor. race gas does weaken the life of the sensor, but I have been using them on many of my customers cars and my own and no problems with longevity (knock on wood)

longevity is shortened significantly as compared to unleaded, but like shorten, still means u can get like 10k miles out of it, wehre as on unleaded and tuned properly it will last u 80k, so it does kill it faster, but will still last u quite a while.

i mean how many of you guys runnnin c16 plan to drive more than 10,000 miles, thats alot of $$ in gas,

my aem w/b sensor lasted over 6k before I had to replace it. the only reason why I have to replace it was because a friend was helping me make a new downpipe and when he took the sensor out he was touching the tip with his fingers. the VW sensor is not the same. the aem sensor comes stock in the new caddy's. you can go to a GM dealer and pick one up for $58 plus taxs or you can order one from GMdirect online. the part number on the aem sensor is a GM part number. just take that part number to you local gm dealer.

The sensor as long as it is installed the proper distance from the turbo will last forever. We sensors have been working great in our drag car from day one. The only time we replace them is if we get oil on the sensor from blown turbo seals or motors. Also the relation to the sensor and the pipe is important too. Just don't install the sensor anywhere on the exhaust. Read the instruations and it gives you specific degrees you can install the sensor.
