Whats the major difference from body shop type bondo and the BONDO brand bondo they sell at like wal-mart. Alot of people have said to go to a autobody/paint store and get the filler there, instead of the Bondo brand. Is one crap or what?

the bodyshop stuff is alot softer compared to BONDO which makes it alot easier to sand. Also after the bondo stuff, they usually also use something call putty to fill in any other little scratches and lines that the primer won't fill.

When i use to do body work i used the Bondo and no name brand stuff, until my friend showed me the bondo in a tube that you get from bodyshop stores. My god what a difference. A small 16oz tube lasted so long and was so easy to sand and work with. Sorry i cant rmemeber the name but i wouldnt use anything other then that.

you want to use evercoat rage platinum or ever coat rage gold. dont use bondo brand its way to sticky and clogs up the sandpaper.

Bondo has that stuff also. i have a tubeof it, its a orange tube. its called "Glazing Putty" or somethin like that. im goin to go to the local bodyshop/paint store and see if they have any of the bodyshop type of bondo.

By the way, does the bodyshop bondo have to be mixed also just like the regular bondo?

I always use Evercoat Rage Gold, or you can use any Rage product because it sands easily and is super smooth. Then top it off with a Glazing Compound or "icing". Just dont buy the regular Bondo body filler b/c it takes forever to sand and it cracks easily so save yourself the sanding time.
