Default Bogging at low RPM's?

OK maybe some people can give some suggestions. Thanks for any help in advance.

Problem: Sluggish performance, bogging at low RPM's

Story: Long story short, I washed my motor and got some water in the spark plugs. Motor started running sluggish/bogging. I pulled the wires and blew out the water w/ compressed air. Ran fine afterward (this was a few days ago). I go to take my car out this morning and it begins bogging and the check engine light flickered on and off a few times. I turned around and brought it home (ran fine last night when I took it out real quick). I've replaced the plugs and it seemed fine at first. Took it for a quick ride, parked for an hour and a half or so. Started to drive again and noticed some bogging and slight hesitation (mainly at low rpm's while taking off from a complete stop).

Anyone have any thoughts?

might be your spark plugs or spark plug wires....check your map sensor as well...

I covered the distributor when I washed the motor so I don't think it's that, but I will check that today just to be sure. The CEL is not on right now. It was weird it flashed on and off real quick 3-4 times and then turned off. I'm thinking that the wires may still be a little damp. I was planning on getting new wires anyway so I guess I'll try that.

on me. I'm usually very careful when I clean the engine bay but this time around I got a little lazy.

its your cap probably...im guessing you have a crack in the distributor cap and while washing, you gotta little bit of water in it, causing it to run in "limp mode"

the flicker sounds electrical...check your harness wires over and make sure nothings out of the ordinary...did you cover these before you washed too?

All I can say is mine ran the same way, it had worn out plugs, rotor and cap, wires were fine.

Is it possible that he had a weak coil and the shorting out of wet plugs finished it off?

Also is it possible one of the new plugs may have gotten damaged when it was installed?

Yea I'm ordering a new cap and rotor on Monday (holding off on the wires for the moment). I'll go from there. Thanks for the input thus far from everyone. Let this be a lesson to everyone that washes their motor. Make sure you take your time and use water judiciously around the VC on me again.

Now for some comedic relief: OEM plugs for my EM1, Honda wants $18.00/ea LOL
