Weird loud noise("HONGGG" type noise?) from rotors?
hey guys new to this board but my del sol has some weird problem
a month ago my car was making weird "honggg" type noises when i reverse or move forward "SLOWLy" , not squeaks, but it was really loud drummish type
went to my mechanic and he noticed that both front and rear calipers were kinda seized - it was lifted and it was hard to spin the wheel
so we decided to change the rear calipers and machine my rotors, then the noise went away, then he told me i should eventually change my fronts aswell
but now a month later, its making the noise again, but its not as loud and not as often
i decided to change my front calipers yesterday, but we didnt machine the rotors
and its still making the noise!@!@!@!
is it possible that the front rotors are making this noise?
im thinking of replacing them
but i just wanna hear peoples input on this
i know that if ur car is lifted in the air in the shop, and u try to spin ur wheels, it should be spinning without using much force, thats why i changed my front calipers cause they were seizing, i had to literally push it forward
but yea i already changed those, so maybe the last thing is to get new rotors? or machine them?

also check the wheel bearing, cuz my friend had an annoying sound coming from the wheels in the front, kinda a WONG WONG WONG WONG noise, i took it apart to check what was wrong and the front passenger wheel bearing was toast.... literaly...
dont ever resurface ur rotors twice, just get some damn rotors they arent that much, n its just as much as getting them resurfaced

it only costs 5 dollars to resurface rotors. Discs are 20-30 each. Thats not even close to the same

Just because you can't spin your wheels freely by hand, doesn't automatically make the caliper the culprit...ever considered your brake lines? You could have a bad line also, which would cause your calipers not to function correctly...thus replacing unneeded parts
Just a thought
EDIT oh yeah, and you shouldve had the fronts cut too...

yeah, my bro currently has that on his TSi. I think he said wheel bearing or ball joints.
