I don't know if I'm quite getting what you're saying, or if you're not quite getting what you're asking, but you would burn the chip for the mods you have. It's been done countless times in the past with every combination of mods from stock to fully built turbo cars.

just asking about stock cars. would a chipped ecu help out, or would it be worthless?

Well, you could always lean it out a bit and increase your gas milage.

Not really, most "pre-made" chips you find on ebay and so on are pretty much junk. The idea behind a burned chip is unique for each car. Where you are at now as a tuner, and parts wise (stock, almost stock) A chip is unessacery. I think you would get more of a satisfaction with an Apexi SAFC. It's a little blue box that connects to your ecu and it allows you to adjust fuel% at differant rpm points. That will allow you to "lean out" as previously mentioned. And to sorta "self-adjust things" as your experience and your parts grow.

just better gas mileage at stock/ near stock level. running lean is devastating if you were say squeezing NOS or boosting. just means yor runing a smaller % of fuel from the injectors.

i ran a chipped ecu from ebay, cams and all that crap, waste of money cuz its from ebay, then i got a safc and was tuned properly and i'm way happy with that. now i'm boosted and i've bought my self a chip burner to do my own tuning and make my own chips

I am chipped and SAFC-II tuned, and I am happy. Made 25 whp from fuel tuning on the dyno!

Next tune though is going to be with Crome, but I will still use the SAFC-II as well unless it makes no difference!
