Clutch scraping sound
At low rpm's in (1-3k) in 3rd gear and upwards i get a scraping sound from the clutch (at least i assume it's the clutch). I get the same sound when I release the clutch in high gears with a bit much throttle. Tranny and clutch functions normally, but the sound is very "something is about to break" like.
Anyone know what could be wrong? Time to replace the clutch and put in a light flywheel while i'm at it? :-)
My car is a 98 euro dc2 ITR closing on 100000km (~62k miles). Clutch has never been replaced.
Did a search on this, but couldnt really find anything that fits my symptoms.

Sounds like your clutch is pretty worn from your mileage. Probably time to think about replacing it regardless.
Sraping - You may have something broken (like a piece of the clutch finger, or the bosses around the rivets in the disc).
Do you drive your R hard?

I have the same sound even after my clutch/pressure plate/flywheel/throwout bearing were replaced by the dealership 3 times under warranty. It would go away right after the install but would come back eventually. I believe it has something to do with the throwout bearing. I'm not too worried about it since I've been driving with it for as long as I can remember. For the record, I have about 79,000miles on the car and about 24,000miles on the clutch/pressure plate/throwout bearing.
