Symptoms of a worn clutch would be slipping... Do you notice the motor sounds like its going faster than it really is, or do you notice that when your accelerating the car kind of jerks...

car only does the jerking thing, doesn't accelarate unsually. I also get this weird noise when in first gear and releasing clutch pedal, kinda like a clunking noise.

Slipping clutch would indicate it's worn thin. But that's not the only way for a clutch to fail.

Shuddering when you engage the clutch means the clutch disk, pressure plate, or flywheel (or all 3) are glazed unevenly. So certain positions are more 'slippery' than others. You can live with it & slip the clutch more, hoping that this will wear it down a bit more evenly. Most likely that won't fix it. Eventually it will annoy you enough you'll get a new clutch.

But first... check for loose/broken engine mounts to rule that out.

i don't wanna seem stupid how would u find out if your motor mounts are loose or broken, besides the usual visual inspections

What JimBlake said, plus make sure any clutch pedal engagement adjustments are correct and working properly.

You wanna watch the engine mounts while running the engine. When you quickly gun the engine, does the engine jump around too much? or lift too far out of position? or clunk or clatter against other things? or use your imagination ...

But... your description really does sound like a chattering clutch. Just want to rule out engine mounts just in case.

are you serious about grabbing the valve cover, or is that a joke. If it's not i'll do it.

The trick is knowing how much movement is normal. But there shouldn't be any klunking noises. It should just feel like what it is... rubber-isolated mounting brackets.
