Default ? For JDM 4-1 Header Owners

I am picking mine up very soon from a friend. I have a muffler shop that will make me a custom flange for pretty cheap to mate the 2.5 inch collector with my cat. Is this the way to go on this, or do I really need to get a 2.5 inch cat too? What are your guys' setup, and what has worked the best.

I bought a carsound cat for mine. It's 2.5" too. I recommend it over a test pipe.

i just went through the same ordeal... order the gaskets from inlinefour.com or jdmhondaparts with the gasket.. and buy a carsound cat.. 2.5 inch. then have a shop do the welding.

Why run a cat with a 2" (50mm) OD outlet when you have a header with a 65mm outlet?

I sell the cat ready to bolt in or any of the parts needed to build your own.

I'll be using a carsound cat with my spoon header. I highly recommend it.

Yep, get a new cat -- Carsound or other. It's a much more straight forward solution than having a new flange made. You'll be much happier in the long run...

I went the cheap route and ordered a 2.5" universal cat from Jeg's. Took the car to a muffler shop and had the cat welded to fit, and cut the first restriction out of the b-pipe. Cost me $50 for the cat, $30 for the install
