Knocking after 3k?????
Sounds like it, im in the same exact situation. I just went off and bought a itr block instead of doing all the hasle to fix up a block with 119,000 on it
Well as soon as u run low on oil its pretty much done ur motor is never going to be the same, thats what happened to mine to it burned oil and was running with barely any oil, if u dont want to get a new block u could just replace all ur rod bearings, a rod, and maybe try to find somebody selling on crank or take urs to a machine shop. How long were u running it with low oil?

I'am pretty sure you have a bad rod bearing. This happened to my gsr when it had around 38k and then my block just broke and shattered in pieces leaving a big hole where the #1 cylinder is located. You best bet is to not use the car until you fix the problem or else you might have to buy or get another motor unless its covered by dealer warranty.
i heard of a problem with a few of the integras that were manufacutered.. they have a problem with the rod bearing/bolts or something.. 2 different people had blown their engines with less than 50k miles and their vin #'s or whatever were very close together meaning it prolly was a manufacuter defect. i would reasearch it and see if acura will take care of it or if it got recalled.
no sorry man it was a long time ago that i read the thread... im not sure even where i saw it.
but i would google for factory recalls on your car or talk to acura to see if you can find out... but if thats not the original motor acura may not cover it.
