when i accelerate the radio sometimes shuts off or starts breaking off. and it also happens when i brake...sumone please give me advice..thanx

How long have you had the problem? and last but not least, make model and year of car, [MMY]? All of this will help us help you. But I will ask you one thing, because someone has to and will, have you checked all the fuses, even the one in the engine bay fusebox, [7.5A backup power] and when I say check, I mean INSPECT the fuse, look at it close, they don't just blow, they also break, also make sure that the fuse sits snug in it's socket, [wiggle the fuses in their socket with the radio on] 94

 

Could be bad connections. Fuses also get old, check them with a DMM.

 

its a sony head unit. i got it installed by a friend that works in circuit city. he told me it could be the radio but i duno, ill see if ic ould get you the model number..i havnt checked the fuses but i will in a few and get back to you..thanx by the way its a 95 civic ex
