There is a weird noise when I accelerate in the car. It sounds like something is rattling. Its like a tinny, whooshy sound and its coming from under the car. I just installed a carsound cat and the noise got less but its still there. The noise only came after installing the mugen headers and exhaust. Do you guys have any opinions on what it could be. My car goes into the dealership thursday and I want to have some stuff in mind to tell them to check

hooptie157- I had the same noise after I installed the header and exhaust. I thought it was the carsound cat but it was the o2 sensor that was loose. So you might wanna check to see if it is screwed in all the way. Hope this helps.

btw- which carsound cat model # do u have?

 

if i keep the radio turned down i hear all kinds of chit, so i turn it back up.

 

its probably just the normal raspy sound of a header, or it could be something that isnt tight enough.. im pretty sure its no bigge

 

Check the O2 sensor and cat mounting bolts (those spring-loaded ones on the input side). Mine rattled like that - O2 was loose. Does not rattle anymore
