I am looking for a really nice set of speakers to go with my JL 12W3 or 12W6.. However I don't want to spend the same amount as what MB Quarts cost.. What would you guys recommend?

 

Im in the same situation as you im stuck on to what my system set-up is going to be

I was thinking of one JL 12w3
Infinity Perfect 6.5" in the front
And some Infinity Kappa 6.5" in the rear

Im so confused as to what to get

Why not stay with JL? You NEED a set of XR650CSi ($379.99 retail) and a Dynamat Extreme door kit. The 6.5" woofer has a lot of midbass capability, the 1" aluminum dome tweeter can is very revealing & smooth without sounding overly bright, which is what people say about MB Quart speakers. I heard these speakers in a 95 civic coupe with the Dynamat in the doors and off deck power, it sounded like there was a sub in the car!!


And you don't need rear speakers. Save your money.

Infinity component sets 5.25 and 6.25 sound very clean at all levels, definetly my recommendation and personal choice

 

i have the Infinity Kappa 60.2 CS component systems.. very nice IMO.. if i was to get something else I would probably look into either another set of Infinitys, MB Quart PSD316 or QSD 216 or the Boston Pro 6.5 components... My infinity kappa CS is pretty good tho..

 

if u want to spend less money i know a pair of speakers that would do the trick.i will say just go with the nakamichis.they are good speakers and less the cost.

 

Cant go wrong with the CERWIN VEGA HED series, theyre great. Clear and no distortion

 

why dont u get jdm R speakers....
