Default d16y7 dizzy question

ok i did a mini me swap on my y7 i used a z6 head my dizzy dont bolt up. and its runs like ****. my friend said its due to the cam position sensor is off. so im getigna z6 dizzy tomrow. a z6 dizzy is OBD1 mine is OBD2 this article says to use the z6 dizzy on a obd2 car and to dis regaurd the blue wire, i say if theres a wire there its there for a reason. not to disregaurd. so im ghangin my dizzy guts out tomrow. good idea or not.. fill me in. i need some replies ASAP!! thanks guys!

The Blu wire is the tach wire. 99-00 Y7's use an 8-pin distributor that lacks this wire, as it uses an output from the ECU for the tach signal.

Disregard the Blu wire on the Z6 distributor as its got no where to connect to on 99-00 Y7 harness.
