Wiring OBD2 CKP into OBD1 car
Alright, have a little issue, have a EG civic SI that had a Z6, blew the motor put a Y8 into it.
The Y8 came from a 2000 civic and has the CKP sensor actually on the oil pump. What would be the easiest way to wire this in? Stright to the ECU, or to the dizzy wires? I know what 2 wires there are at the dizzy, but dont know what wire on the senor is signal and what one is ground...does it matter?
If anyone has been thru this and could shed some light that would be great!

You shouldnt need to wire it in just use the obd1 dizzy. The sensor is in the dizzy on obd1-0 cars

Use your stock p28 z6 ecu to run the y8, then you wont have to worry about hooking up the crankshaft fluctuation sensor. obd1 and 2 distributors are the same internally, its just the wires are moved around. all you have to do is repin the obd2 dizzy to the obd1 plugs and you'll be good to go.
