Air Conditioning not working - 2002 Civic Lx
Hello,
I have a 2002 Civic LX and 3 weeks ago, when I turned on the A/C, there was some noise and now the noise has gone away, but no cool comes out.
What could be the reason? Is is the compressor or freon tank needs to be refilled?
I had an accident on 2003 and the following A/C parts were replaced.
- A/M Condenser
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank You,
Shahtech

have your system checked for any leaks...then evacuated to get rid of the dye (leak detector)
check to see if your a/c clutch is engaging when the a/c is on
check to see if your a/c clutch is engaging when the a/c is on
Running the system fan wont harm the a/c because the compressor isnt engaging anyway. Bring it in and have it chaecked for leaks before it gets nasty hot, hehe
i dont think he made it clear that he knew it was the compressor, what im saying is that if nothing blows when he jus turns on the fan then its the blower. Even if he has the ac on, something should blow out b/ the blower is on. Thats y i say its the blower, mine went n i got a 2000
Hello,
When I turn on the A/C, only air blows out. So I belive that the blower is OK. On a 2002 Civic, how do I check if the freon tank is empty?
I am going to get it checked out for leaks at the dealership tomorow and will post the outcome.
Thank You,
Shahtech
