I have an 02 Ep3 and I am going to put on the RSX Type-S 5-lug and brakes on it. Do the Type-S axles fit in the Si tranny? Can i keep my axles and just get the o5 Si hub? Are ther anything else i need to know to do this swap?- Thanks

 

not sure, but if any 1 in the bay area wants my 5 lug with no axles, i have them for sale. the entire system only had 5k on it

 

not for sure but i do know that you have to adjust your abs sensor due to the fact that the type s axles are bigger. i think that they might fit a friend of mine did the swap but he had a type s tranny

 

you will need the axles for the S 5 lug swap.

the half shafts that go into the tranny and intermediate shaft are all the same for K series, but from 4 to 5 lug...the 5 lug splines are much bigger.

 

Like everyone else said, you'll need the Type S axles.

As for the 04+ EP 5-lug...I'd only recommend this if you have access to a wrecked 04+ EP as brand new parts will run you close to $1000 (minimum).

So are the ends on the type-s axle differant sizes on both sides?

Yes, the splines are the Type S hubs are larger, hence the need for the Type S axles.

Yes, the Type S axles will fit the si trans.
