Disadvantages of removing tranny/block brace
What disadvantages are there if your remove tranny/block brace? Because I was curious about running a header on my ITR that would require me to remove it. Thanks

And that has what to do with the block to tranny brace?
I would say if you have to remove it, go with the 3 piece arrangement used on GSRs. It would probably be OK withough it, but you want something at the very least to cover the flywheel. Honda didn't spend money developing and installing the stiffener for no good reason at all.

What is this brace? You're not talking of the bracket that holds the rear motor mount onto the tranny?
Surely not... I don't see how a header could hit that...

The tranny/block brace on the ITR actually does something. It keeps the tranny and block from twisting (makes it more rigid).
That reminds me, I have to put grind away at that stiffener and reinstall mine.
I've been running the GSR flywheel cover without even the GSR braces for a while now, without any problems.
It's just one of those things that I've been meaning to do, but was always too lazy to get around to.
