***tranny probs. any ideas?***
so my tranny keeps taking a **** after I drive my car. its leaking from where the tranny mounts to the block and it is basically along the whole seam. Im wondering if I have a small chip out of the tranny housing and therefore the tranny isnt mounting flush to the block and Im having this leaking issue. the only other thing i can think of is that the bolts arent tight enough and therefore there is a small space allowing the leaking. (althought Im damn sure I tightened everything before the engine was put in... stranger things have happened though)
Y7 bottom end with the leaking where the tranny mounts to block (as previously stated) right by the support bracket.
here are the pics:

Re: (eg cookiemonster)
ah ****! leaking MTF from where the clutch, pp, and flywheel is isnt good. the only other thing I can think of it that its coming from another random leak I had... it seems that MTF was coming out of the VSS hole on top of the tranny. (thats where it was filled instead of the top fill plug)I think one friend over filled it because it all started to come out pretty serious last night all over the street where I parked. today I checked the MTF level with a q-tip in the fill hole and I only stuck it in half way and it was still filled. (odd since it leaked a lot last night, so I wanted to believe it was just over filled). hope its not the rear main seal, I cant really afford the down time now.

Im going to seal up the VSS sensor tomorrow then bolt it back down to make sure that nothing is coming from the top then try to get a better idea of where it is coming from. really hope its not the rear main seal. dont really feel like breaking **** all apart again.

You could tell from the 2nd pic that its coming from the axle area. My bet is an axle job was done resently and someone pushed in the axle seals (they probably have another name but thats what i call them). If not then there going back. Thats causing the leak. Change those, there easy.

Re: (Luserkid)
update of pics from today
from this pic you can see that the drain plug is bone dry but there is MTF from the shift rod to the damn tranny seam to the block
MTF is all over the place dripping from the shift rod and the tranny housing
here is the money shot! it does seem to be the driver side axle leaking and leaking a lot.
hopefully fixing that will solve all my problems. I hopefully fixed my VSS problem and sealed that up so I should be good. when I took it off though it poped like it was under pressure. is that normal?
Luserkid was right but thanx everyone for taking the time to look and give suggestions.
