Default how hard would this be?

Okay, so I've been thinking about this for a long time. Now for my 96 ej8, I've been thinkin of swapping a 96-01 b18c1. Now i want to get a conversion harness so I can run a tuned OBD1 ECU on it since its OBD2 (tunability sucks for OBD2 or so I've been told). So my question is, when I smog my swap on the b18c1 with the stock OBD2 ECU how difficult would it be to put the OBD2-OBD1 conversion harness on and put in the OBD1 ECU? I mean, if its too much trouble I may just buy an older civic so the OBD1 b18c1 motor would be legal. Thanks in advance .

Wouldn't you want to use a 96 or newer motor in cali to be legal...?

Anyways, I believe the swap back to OBD2 is easy... as long as all of your sensors are in place. If you remove the second O2 for example, you wont pass. Also you might want to swap back the ECU a week before the inspection so the ECU can learn everything again. They can tell if you swapped it out in the parking lot ive heard.

yea i was talking about swapping a 96-01 b18c1 using an OBD1 ECU. I'm just wondering how hard it would be to attach the conversion harness.
