Default Turbo + Individual Throttle Bodies???

i was wondering if its possible to combine both the benefits of turbo and individual throttle bodies. this is my vision: b18cr + inidividual throttle bodies + turbo exhaust manifold + turbo + piping towards intercooler + piping towards engine bay. instead of the piping from the intercooler going all the way to the itbs, it ends at the entrance into the engine bay. instead of blowing intercooled air directly to the openings of the itbs, it blows the air into the entire engine bay. im guessing this would make the entire bay have a cooler temperature and also allows the itbs to intake cooler air.

its just a vision that i have but im not sure if it will actually work. what do you guys think?

There's a video floating around in the forced induction forum of an Integra with 12.5 : 1 compression, ITBs and a turbo running like 10 pounds of boost. Ask there, not here.

EDIT: now that I know what you're asking, no, that won't do jack ****. Do you have any idea how a turbocharger works? If the intercooler spills out into the open atmosphere, you're losing power from the turbo becauase it's mucking up your exhaust velocity down low and doing nothing up top. If the turbo's cold side isn't connected to the TB (or ITBs) you're getting nothing from it.

Umm it'll work as long as you still have an intake manifold. BUT, your going to have to spend hours upon hours tunning and fixing, DON"T DO IT IF YOUR NOT GOING TO RACE THE CAR ONLY NO DAILY DRIVER. yeah its going to be hell for your motor, but the power gains could be phenomonal if you do it right. I'd suggest seeing if you could also run a stand alone set up with that, your deffinatly gonna need lots of fuel for that sh*t.

Good luck, I'd like to see it get done.

Ummmmm ..... do you know how a turbo works? ...... Pressurized air! If a turbo is just blowing out air into the engine bay from a hole in the end of your pipe, there will be no boost created from it. It needs to be an air-tight enclosed system for a turbo/supercharger to work.

Not to mention that your exhaust flow will also be hindered greatly by the turbo.

In conclusion, no way it would work. Well you could do it, but after it's done and you don't make any power and your car runs like ****, I'm gonna laugh at you.

Now, think about this: running individual TBs and breaking the intake charge piping into each of the 4 seperate TBs.......... it would take some creative welding work for the pipes but I would be interested in the result.

Just a crazy idea, but it's a lot more realistic than what you brought up...........

I think pulsar gti-r are itb and turbocharge, engine are sr20det

That would be nice to something different but dig the money!

E46 M3's have ITB's stock. From what i've seen, ppl who are running turbos and SC's have to delete their ITB's.

that would still be incredibly hard. you would have to besure that the Throttle position is exactly the same throughout the ITB's and not to mention the flow rate of them. You could weld up a burns stainless merge collector and make 4 intake pipes that would fit onto that. I would have to say that u would need at least 10+ Psi of boost to see good results

Doesn't the R34 Skyline have ITBS + Turbo stock ? I would think its totally possiable but I can also see it being kinda annoying tuning wise..
