Camber and toe and coilovers; oh my...
So, I've been lurking and asking questions about the GC and Koni setups for a bit now, and it looks like I'll be biting the bullet and pulling out the bank card for some.
I've heard alot of the Honda guys at the track talk about being able to change dampers without it effecting the alignment. I've looked at the helms assembly diagrams, and I see how that could be possible, since you're only unbolting the LCAs. Is this horse pooey?
When I go from ProKits to GCs, I'll most likely be changing the ride height (adding neg camber). The static camber shouldn't have an effect on the toe either, correct?
My machinist at work will be fabbing me up some toe plates, so I will be able to check the settings when done; but am I off base by thinking that the alignment settings will not be effected by swapping damper / spring assemblies?

if you change ride height, you have changed your static camber and toe settings.
let me make this clearer.

I see where I went wrong. I was thinking by changing the ride height you'd change the camber, and there isn't any way that camber could effect the toe settings.
Upon checking my Helms again, I noticed that by changing the ride height, it would effect the toe adjustment because of the compensator arm geometry in the rear and tie rod in the front.
Thanks for putting it that way, I was having a complete brain freeze on that one, and just couldn't figure it out.

I was going to. I have my toe plates on order, and will be doing the string / jackstand DIY setup. I was mostly thinking out loud, and was having trouble seeing why when the ride height changed, that the toe did as well. I spent some time with the Helms and got it figured out.
