Default Camber adjust on coilovers

What is it for?

Ok, let me ask it another way. When installing coilovers, do we or should we adjust them? If we do or should, should adjusting camber require special alignment tools, which most car owner would not have at home.

Also, why is the adjustment only on the front and not the rear coilovers? On Hondas, it's the rear that need some camber adjustments, correct?

If you don't know what to do with it, take it to a shop that does.

True. But then if that's the case, I would get a coilover system without camber adjustment.

You cant camber adjust a multilink or double wishbone suspension with camber plates. That's why Honda rear coilovers don't have it.

Newer Hondas have McPherson strut suspensions up front. You can camber adjust those via top hats.

What kind of car do you own, OP?

You can't adjust camber by itself or you will throw off all otheralignment angles. You need to get the car aligned.

This would be for a 2010 Accord.

the 2010 accord should still be using double wishbones and I assume there are aftermarket upper control arms that allow camber adjustment

I'm almost 100% that the 2010 uses double wishbones. You cannot adjust camber with your coilover top hat. You need to buy camber control ball joints or arms.

But...you don't really need or want a camber kit. Maybe for the rears if you're really concerned...but still probably not.

I just found out the for the application (2010 Accord), the coilovers does not have camber adjustment plate. It was listed in the description and pics, but I didn't know that it did not apply. It made no indications on the description.

Moving forward..Going Low - soon.
