Power window problem with my 1999 Civic EX coupe
Driver side power window doesn't work anymore, not sure if the regulator/motor needs to be replaced or just the switch after I had read a few posts relating to the similar issue. Also, is it difficult to replace the regulator on your own? It seems fairly easy, just want to make sure. Please help!
BTW, I don't hear anything when I pressed the window down, assumed the motor either toasted or could be power issue? Before the window completely stopped working, it used to work on/off really slow from time to time, but now just stopped.

If you don't hear anything when you push the switch, that may be your problem.
Either way, you'll have to open your door up. Check for voltage at the switch and regulator. Then check the regulator and arms to see if they're bent (a very common problem).

The process is pretty simple, but it can be a huge pain. Mine is starting to bind up, even after I lube it. When it gets bad enough that it needs to be replaced, it might be a job that I'll pay the labor to have done just to save me the trouble.
What kind of trouble can you get? I took the inside door panel off and the motor is right there, but I am not sure how difficult it is to take the actual motor out from the door.
common problem. I had a bad motor, where it took like 30 seconds for ym passeneger window to roll up. I thankfully had like 2 months left on the warrenty and took it in
I've never tampered with this area, so good luck!

The motor isn't usually the problem, it's the regulator that gets bent, and it's a real pain to have to deal with the glass, tracks and linkages. I've never seen a motor go bad, so I'm not sure if you can replace that without removing the regulator as well. In the helms, it shows removing the regulator to get to the motor, but I could have been looking at the wrong page for just the motor replacement.

it will take 30min. to replace the regulator. really simple procedure. 3 bolts for the motor and 2 for the glass. raise the glass and secure it with tape... pull out regulator, install new one and that's it.
if you were closer i would do it for 20$

Yea i pulled all 4 my doors apart and pulled out all the switches and motors in about 2 hours
. Its not hard at all. Niether my passenger rear nor my front driver window would work. So i concluded either wiring or relay. Im going to try relay and if that doesnt work peoples heads are gonna spin.

Recently my window would pop out of place a bit when I close the window. It does leave a small gap and I know its ruining my weather strip. I did take off my panel and it seems like when my window rolls up it is tilting more forwards than being even. Can I adjust this by unscrew the two 10mm bolts holding the window in place or would it be something else?
