Need some tech HELP with air/fuel and distributor...
Well, the other day, my car didnt start so I checked for spark : none..i thought it was my distributor base(checked the coil), and that didnt work. So the only piece left in the distributor was the ICM(ignitor). So i changed it.....boom, car fired right up. I let it idle for maybe 10 minutes(it was cold as hell outside) and then from inside I heard it idling funny. So I went to check and the check engine light was on and the car idled ok. I didnt pull the code because of the weather, but I thought I would check it today.
Today, I reset the ecu and cranked it up. It idled at 2000 for like 6 or 7 minutes!? No check engine light...and even when the car warmed up the idle didnt go down. I cranked it again and drove it, then the idle went down like normal. *confused* So, my a/f gauge was working just fine, and then all of the sudden...the idle felt kind of low at a redlight and my a/f wasnt even registering lean. I kept driving to school giving throttle and whatnot, and the gauge didnt even read. Does this mean Im off the fackin charts?? I didnt mess with anything esle in the motor, I dont understand why it would do this?? Please help, I cant afford to mess up my car right now...thanks..

The only problem I see with that, is that I didnt even touch the a/f gauge or O2 sensor...I just basically swapped distributors...Any other opinions?
.....those new parts could be defective too. Not likely, but it happens every once in a while.
a/f shouldn't be affected, but the electricals are all affected so if something isn't grounded correctly or whatever you could mess up or fry other stuff.....
idle is funky? are all the plug wires secure? sparking properly? car feels strong, weak, etc?

car feels like its lacking....i pulled the code...its a 43....inadequate fuel supply...

I checked for everyything....no vaccuum leaks or fuel lacking...50 psi without vaccuum(according to b&m gauge)...pulled the injectors out...they mist...I really think its electrical since my friends car and my car do the same thing now(since I used his distributor)...any thoughts on this?? I need to learn how to use a poo pooey voltmeter....(what poo poo sissy boys were offended by language anyway...
