Default audio problems

i got a new head unit and some new front component speakers.
my head unit plays but sometimes the music doesnt sound.
i think it has something to do with the speakers. the head unit seems fine but no sound is coming out of the speakers. any comments on this?! HELP!
no fuses were blown from what i can tell.. and all the head unit wires are fine

Again ... who installed the stereo ... the speaker wires could be loose from the actual speaker, or there could be a small kink in the wires, or the wires were never properly soldered or connected together. It could be many numerous things, but we need some input on who installed it.

Yeah, sounds like a loose conncetion to me. I had subs that did that. Guy that installed them didn't use proper connectors.

I kinda have that same issue right now too in my 90 Accord...certain speakers play/don't play through turns in the road....right turn...right speakers quit working....left turn...left speakers quit working...go straight...it's all good. Weird.

my car does the same thing, 1990 accord. A friend and i uplugged the wires from the back, and noticed if pressure is applied in a certain direction some speakers will work, but there wasnt anything we could do to make them all work.

This is an internal issue with the head unit. Newer Pontiacs have this problem, and its driving owners nuts. What is happening is the internals of the head units have a built in safety curcuit. If you play your system too loud the circuit trips a small breaker to let things cool down, hence your erratic sound output with no apparent reason.
