HELP WITH LINKAGE ON B16

HELP WITH LINKAGE ON B16
I INSTALLED A SHORT SHIFTER ON MY 88 HATCH WITH A B 16, AND THE OTHER DAY THE BAR RIGHT UNDERNEATH THE SHIFTER THAT CONNECTS TO THAT RUBBER BUSHING KEEPS SLIDING OUT AND THE SHIFTER GETS LOOSE AND I CAN BARELY SHIFT IT SEEMS LIKE THE BAR IS NOT LONG ENOUGH HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM? IF SO PLESE HELP

Ok first what you need is to go to honda and order the new Bushing.....I know what's happening. the buishing is slipping out over the metal piece right? Just stick a washer over the bolt....between the bushing...and the head of the bolt. Get it?
Cool have fun.....do it when the car is cold.....exhaust gases are hot.
