Default stage 2 sohc cam?

I am soon to get a stage 2 cam for my d17a2.
10.5:1 comp ported head I/H/E, cam gear, no cat and vafc2 for fuel.
But unfortunatly there is no easy way to adjust ignition timing. Will I be Ok or will I be missing out on some HP by not advancing or retarding ig timing? What would you do if you could not tune your ig timing in your d16 ?

with that cam, u will have to have a high idle because it will be very lopey........if i were, i would look into an ignition system. also look into springs and retainers with ur setup.................good luck

springs and retainers will be installed along with the cam. the only way to change ig timing on these is to use emanage with their ignition harness. sux because I don't have a laptop to tune the emanage with and I don't really want to spend another 300-400 bux on a used e manage.
Will idle be that bad? any idea what rpm it will idle at?

Thanks

with a stg 2 cam, it will be lopey, but, still streetable. just try messing with timing and also ur idle on ur throttle body. if i were you, i would into a better tuning system like Hondata or Emanage. both r good. im sure there are shops in ur area who can tune ur car.

my bad.... crower stg 2
adjusting idle on the throttle body sounds like an idea. tuning the fuel is not a problem for me. I am using the innovate lm1 for that. I don't mind a rough idle as long as it doesn't stall.

I ran a crower stage 2 with a stock p30 then a stock p28 and it idled fine. Stage 3 is where things get hairy. You definately need major tuning with that piece...Apexi Power FC is a solid choice
