Default Cam installed.

D16z6 with cai/h/e and 12 lbs flywheel. Just installed a Crower stage 2 and spring/retainers. The idle is very rough and it dies on me. I have a VAFC but will i need a cam gear? The lifters are loud as hell and i adjusted them too. Looking for some help.

Yep, check the timing and make sure to adjust the valves if you haven't already done so. If the lobe specs are really aggressive, maybe you'll need to raise the idle speed if the timing turns out okay.
