have the short shift . tried to install . took off 2 bolts from shift linkage now it wont come down . did i forget anything? or is it jus the exhaust piping blockin its way down ?

go here https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=944804 this will definitely help you out... when I installed mine on I didn't have to remove my stock exhaust, I just pulled out the shifter at an angle

 

for the quick answer, there are two more bolts you missed. they hold a plate up that holds the ball join fulcrum point of the shifter. crawl under. its a pain in the ***. pending on the condition of your car, you might have to drill out the bolts, thats what i had to do with mine, then i just used two machine screws and bolts to put it back together. easy as pie!

 

cooo . so after i get the other 2 bolts out it should come right down?

 

pretty much, then you have to pull the shifter out of the rubber boot, and slip your new one in, bolt it back up and you should be good to go
