Default mini-me questions... did a search... but no luck...

just wondering about a few things for the mini-me.
1) does it leak oil constantly even if done right?
2) what would make the motor leak oil?
3) what compression is given if a z6 or y8 head is used?
4) if i use the y8 head do i have to use obd2 wiring or could i simply hook up a vtec controler?
5) what head would you use if you could do it all over again?

thanks guys i know this may have been posted about a million times but i couldn't find anything by searching... peace...

I'm not a big fan of head swaps, but....

it shouldnt leak oil...I've never heard of oil leakage being a problem, that's w/ ls/vtec's....I'd use the y8 head b/c the 88-91 dizzy bolts right up to it w/o all the crap you have to go through to bolt it up to the z6 head....

The Z6 head will give a compression ratio of about 10.5:1 and the Y8 head will give a compression ratio of about 11.1:1. This is what I've been told. The Z6 comp. number is pretty accurate. I did a compression check on my mini-me swap with Z6 head and got 215psi. I have a friend who has a GSR swap into a 92 Civic Cx and his motor checked out at 225psi. The GSR motors have a compression ratio of 10.4:1. Hope it helps. Also, I would use the Y8 head because the 88-91 distributor will bolt up to the head.
