Compatibility of SI -vs- EX/DX struts??
I just bought a set of 99-00 SI shocks but one of the rear ones was blown. Chances of finding a single SI shock are somewhat small, so next would be EX/DX, etc. They're on Eibach springs, so the car isn't slammed causing the shocks to be blown in a matter of seconds. How would putting an EX/DX shock on there measure up? I know there is a slight difference between the EX and SI shocks, as I think that the SI's are made for a bit higher spring rate, but would it still work without much of an issue?
Sorry for the noob question. Thanks.

I understand that they are interchangeable and will bolt up fine, maybe I should have rephrased my question.
My question, is are the shocks similar internally? Can I run 3 SI shocks, and 1 EX shock? Or will that cause me problems, ie: are the shocks too different internally?

I know they are different internally. I know the part numbers are different. In the end, what I want to know since I may not be able to find just one SI shock, is can I run 3 SI shocks and 1 EX/DX shock on my car with little or no problems?
The further this goes I sound like more and more of an idiot.

Just trying to decide which ones to buy, (rather not waste money on it if it's not going to work). Just bought 2 SI shocks though, so I'm good to go. Thanks everyone.
