Just installed some Clarion 6.5" component speakers in my DC2
I have a 95 Integra and I hate how the older DC2's do not have tweeters mounted on the panels like the newer ones did...The sound repreoduction sucks with the 6.5" speaker on the bottom of the door panel...So I decided to get my own component set for the front and get some decent rear 6.5s to upgrade from stock after a year of owning my car...I didn't want to spend over $200 for this project so I knew I was going to have to be very patient to find what I need....I wanted good bass production from my rear speakers as well as good highs but for a relatively cheap price and direct fitment on my Teg. After studying speaker reviews on several options online, i went with some Pioneer ts-1671 6.5" speakers that got good reviews from consumers on Circuit City online...My choice for components though was a tough one....My last two choices for what fit my needs were these Pioneers TS-c1653 ($88 shipped) or Infinity Reference 6000($110 shipped). I ruled out the Pioneers because I knew they would not fit my front door basket without modification...I knew the Infinity's would fit but I was hesitant on buying them...After about 2 weeks of thinking my last option over and looking at any other possible option, I found some Clarion speakers on Ebay that turned out to be $75 shipped...I was also hesitant on these because I knew nothing about them...i looked online and found three reviews that all were perfect 5's...All said they were great speakers especially for the price...I was sold on these reviews...I went with them and could not be happier...They are 6.5" Clarion SRS-1625...I hooked the 4 speakers up with this 4 channel Rockford Fosgate amp my broham gave me...I loved how the crossover they came with was an inline crossover meaning I did not need to mount an external crossover inside the door panel somewhere...I also love the simpleness of the tweeters making them look OEM...The woofer has this metallic black look to it that looks pretty cool...The sound from these are amazing compared to stock...I can't believe I didn't do this earlier...It eliminated alot of the annoying road noise DC2's usually have...With this setup, i have achieved my goal of having a nice clean sound that compares to OEM high class cars...
Sorry for the long *** story but I'm bored and I'm sure my GF does not want to hear about it...

Thanks for the review. I am currently in the market for some components myself. What is the RMS of the amp you have?
