I have a 97 itr and i recently had a new head unit put in and evey since the the gauge cluster's back light wont come on .. i kno the light isnt messed up because when i turn the alarm on and off it still blinks... i've checked the fuses seeem like nuttin is blown..
can someone help me out thanks.. i cant drive at night!!

someone help?

 

did you short out a fuse?...did you use the illumination wire for the
new radios ground instaed of TRUE ground? I say recheck your install
it may be something really simple.

 

yeh i re checked everything still hav a problem wit it

thanks..</TD></TR></TABLE>You have blown the dash light fuse, [probably because the radio illumination wire was shorted or miswired when the new HU was installed] the reason they blink when you arm/disarm the alarm is, the alarm supplies the power, you need to find the blown fuse, and the the short, [if it's still there] before you do damage to the alarm, [the lightflash output can be damaged]. 94
