Default Possible fuel pump problem

I noticed over the past few days that my car has had little power at low RPMs. the car would kind of buck a bit till it got power at around 4k rpms.

today when i was driving back to school, it died out on me for no reason as i approached a stop. I started it back up, and it had 0 power at low rpms, and even had trouble getting up to 4k with the clutch in.

I am wondering if this is symptomatic of a bad fuel pump, or clogged fuel filter or something. It seems to be fuel related because i get no power at WOT, which seems like that would not be related to O2 sensor. I wasn't getting a check engine light, but i didn't check the cels because i didn't have my little paperclip handy. I will check it tomorrow, but just let me know what you guys think it could be.

92+ also have a main fuel relay located under the dash (driver side). I have witnessed the same type of problem you described from the main relay starting to fail. Just another thing to add to your checklist.

weird, i have never heard of or had relays fail. Anybody got a good link to a tutorial or would be willing to offer some advice. If i were to look at the wheel sitting in the car, the relays are to the left of the wheel under correct? I guess i will just have my pops run me over a relay to see if it helps the situation.

Looks like this:

It's located right around the hood release/fuse box area under the dash. Usually a grey color.

it wasn't the main relay. i did replace it anyway though. I also went and replaced my fuel filter and my 02 sensor and the problem went away. I also went to colder plugs, but that was really just due to my turbo kit and for no other reason. I think it was really the o2 sensor that fixed the problem. No more bogging.

Had the same prob. Fuel filter, rotor cap, spark plugs, and seafoam fixed it. No probs since. Good Luck.
