altight So i fitted my new throttle body on, same map sensor..same TPS sensor. throttle body TPS pro
Hey peepz, I encountered some problems when I switched my factory accord euro-R H22 66mm TB to a spoon 70mm throttle body.(MAP AND TPS are the same). this is on a 07' jdm Accord SiR-T with a euro-R full engine/gearbox conversion.
alright So i fitted my new throttle body on, same map sensor..same TPS sensor.
now get this, check up on my v-afc2 to find that my v-afc2 dosen't seem to read how much the throttle body is turning, i.e 100% on full throttle.
then checked the throttle body voltage sensor.
factory should be around 0.4-0.5V at idle and then increase to just under 5V when the throttle body is on full throttle.
but now the lowest it can read on idle is 1.4V or so, and once I floor it, the voltage drops to 0.2V!. so the car eventually stalls.
therefore it's telling the ecu to give less fuel as I'm idleing when acctually I am flooring it.
so basically instead of reading and seeing the voltage go up, it's going the opposite way.
so have any of you guys had this problem before?
I also took the tps sensor off and found that when i turn the tps sensor **** inside, the voltage decreases, so I tried to fit the tps sensor the other way round so that when it's on full throttle..it'll turn the way that the voltage increases, but no can do, because the tps sensor would not be in a position to bolt on. (I guess you'll only understand this if you have taken a TPS sensor off before)
so what shall I do?..any ideas?
stoopid spoon throttle body.
thanks guys
EDIT:eeek..just saw my mistake now I can't change my title,
Mods: could you please change my title to :"throttle body TPS problems. HELP!"
don't know how i messed that up thanks.
