Default How to test a turbo see if its working condition ??

Guys how do you test a turbo??

I wanna see if mine is in working condition. I spin the turbine it spins fine but has a light noise like its scratching or dirt..

I used a blow dryer and it spins fine no problems..

any particular way I can test it..

thx

You can also pour some oil into the oil feed hole, plug both sides (feed and return) and see if oil leaks out from the turbine side and compressor side while spinning the shaft. If it does leak then you have a bad seal, bad journal bearing or other internal parts damaged.
