B16A S4C tranny GSR 5th gear
What do you guys think about this set-up, because I see alot of people doing the LS 5th setup but I have a feeling your RPMs will drop too low with the LS tranny. From 8000rpms the GSR drops you to 5687rpms in 5th and the LS drops you to 5160rpms. Stock B16 drops you to 6128rpms Anybody that has felt either setup please explain how it feels
I forgot more about hondas then you will ever know....

i currently have a gsr 5th in my itr trans. i will be swapping it out this week for the stock 5th because my car is no longer being driven on the street. any interest?
as far as performance, i will tell you i gained 8 mpg with my setup on the highway. i used to drive to/from events up and down the east coast with the car, hence my move to swap the 5th gear. the rpm jump from 4th to 5th was not that radical, but it was definately noticable. if you commute a lot, you will benefit from this setup.

So Rodney with the difference in the RPM drop could you see yourself racing someone in 4th then switching to 5th and them pulling on you, or would you still have some pep. Also what motor is this you experienced this with. I currently have a B20
