What did I do to my clutch? Need help
I have b16 with act stage 1 clutch.
I was doing some spirited driving today, when I went from 1st to 2nd I couldnt get it into 2nd. So I put in neutral and let out the clutch.
When I went to step back on the clutch, there was NO resistance, it just sank to the floor. It engaged very slightly at the bottom of the floor(it usually engages at teh very top.
So I parked and popped my hood and smoke billowed out of the clutch area and smelled like absolute ****.
After like 15minutes the resistance came back to the pedal, but when letting out the clutch in 1st from a dead stop you hear a really loud grind and bad smell then it drives normal.
Im suspecting its something with the cable but not sure? Any insigt is appreciated.

Not sure but check to see if you got some fluid in that thing. Maybe air got into the lines?... This actually happened to me and there wasnt any brake fluid in it

your clutch springs are probably shot and its hitting the flywheel bolts
thats what happen to my b16
when i try to start to go i get a really nasty grind
after shifting for a while it wont let me go into any gear unless i turn off the car or wait a long time

Ok, I both tightened and loosened the adjustment nut. There is almost no play in the cable. At either setting, I still get a grinding noise when i let the clutch out. Once i get moving its good in all other gears. Clutch has been absolutely fine until this incident. Any ideas?
The clutch was installed properly, its been working great for the past 6months. Im really at a loss and i have to drive home 3.5hrs on sunday
