i will be like crusing in like 3rd 4th or 5th gear and then i will stomp the gas and then the motor will speed up, it will jump like 1000 rmps higher then it will drop and then the car will start to go faster

is this my clutch slipping?

 

Most likely the clutch is slipping. It is interesting that it slips when fully engaged and then quits slipping.

 

yeah i think the clutch is starting to go, its a hydro tranny.. so no cable adjusting...

 

yea its hydro but the clutch was replaced in august so it must have been a bad clutch

 

how long will this last till its completely gone

 

as long as you would take it real easy and baby the clutch then it should last for awhile but i would get that changed asap because it could cause other damage if you let it go and it gets worse...

 

what will make a clutch give out quick, its supposed to be a stage 3 competition clutch but i dont think i got what i payed for

 

How does this clutch respond when starting? Does it slip alot then? Is there any fluid (oil) leaking in the clutch area?

 

it slips at low rpms but it is good at high rpms
