does the pr3 ecu use a karman sensor or a hot flap style sensor

neither. manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor.

 

awesome. i feel dumb now. i know the kooky vw vr6 like the back of my hand but im a lil lost with a obd0 b16a.

now i need to figure out how to wire this thing becuase i dont think they mention a map sensor in the install book.

anyone actually done the install that can chime in?

i now see which diagram to use. looks to be an easy install. 6 or 8 wires. the tricky part will be calibration. i think a wideband might be necissary to get a good starting point to mod the fuel curve. not sure.

ya im installing the thing tonight. was goign to do it last night but i went to the movies instead

im hoping that before its calibrated it uses a 0% correction factor that way it runs liek stock until i actually start tweeking it.

also...i have a knock sensor problem. not familiar with these knock sensors. is it probably jsut the sensor itself if im not gettign any knocks? anyway to overide the thing? im getting ready to install ROM tuning which will overide it but i jsut want any info i can get on the thing.
