Default I'm a virgin

Wadup peeps,

I bought my first honda ever! and I love it. I've been a Volkswagen freek for all my life, but I need something different. So I got the honda that I always wanted and I want to know about it. Can you let me now about all the ups and down about my car. If the engine is worth working on? What kinda engine do I have. You know stuff like that. I want to be at 275 hp all motor or supercharged. I'm not a big turbo fan.

My car is a 2 door 94 accord EX 5speed.

And one more thing. This might sound like a stupid question but, what is a v-tech motor? What does the v-tech do? I'm new at this as you can tell. Thanks

ok i guess ill start this off

1st your not driving a phone
its not v-tech
its vtec

2nd you have a f22b1 sohc vtec motor

3rd to long of a explaintion for vtec you just need to know its the ****

4th for that motor your best bet to reach that number would be turbo going n/a would cost to much and the numbers would be low compared to other n/a honda engines in the same family

its a start hope it helps

oh yeah search

5th there is no supercharger for accords

6th you will not reach 275 whp N/A on an F series motor

7th vtec is basically a more agressive cam lobe profile that the ECU switches to at a given crossover point in the ECU which opens up the valves more allowing more power to be made. Your car only has VTEC on the intake side, while DOHC motors have VTEC on both the intake and exhaust cams.

8th welcome to honda-tech, familiarize yourself with the search feature.

howstuffworks.com actually has a whole article on Vtec....though you wont make a TON of power on the F series block NA, and no supercharger is avaialble, the F block responds VERY well to turbocharging....though it requires some work, its not unreasonable to put down 250+ whp on a stock block...thats assuming the engine is in great condidiotn from the start, otherwise you'd need to put a little bit of money into rebuilding
