Problem after rear brake pad install ::HELP!!::
Ok I just changed my rear brake pads and now the pedal goes all the way to the floor. I have driven the car for about five-five and half miles and it still won't regain the pressure. I added the additional brake fluid.
I am thinking that I may need to bleed the brakes but I don't have the time to do it tonight.
So do I need to bleed them?

yes bleed them and then check for leaks. its weird how your pedal goes all the way down after just doing breaks. did you take off the break line when you did the breaks ?
You have to bleed the brake everytime you change something!!! Its not good to have air in your brake system, bleed it asap!
I have never had a pedal go to the floor from a brake system needing to be bled. That's typically a master cylinder failure. However it's very odd this comes up right after the replacement of the rear brake pads.

Thats true SKUNKED what you said about the master cylinder failure. But you have no idea what this kid was doing when he did this. I'd say bleed the **** out of them. It's easy and it's always best to start with the easiest/cheapest things first.

I would try to bleed the system first too.

yeah I need to bleed them..
I had to take off the lines to get the caliper off.
I also twisted the piston back on both calipers.
I think that I have air somewhere in my system...
I followed the walk through on team-integra.

you took your calipers totally off the car? i usually just hang mine up in the wheel well with an old coat hanger or some wire of decent thickness.
So you weren't able to bleed them? or you just aren't sure how? Get back to us so we can help you out.

Unless you changed your calipers, there is no reason to remove them completely to change pads. But since you opened the sysem you have to bleed them. Try to gravity bleed first, it is the easiest way and you don't run the risk of ruining the old Master Cylinder by pressing it too far to the floor.
gravity bleed it. Just crack the bleeder and go drink a beer. ny the time your done it should be dripping fluid from the bleeder steadily. do this on all 4 wheels starting with the one farthest from the MC and moving forward. check your fluid level periodicly. works like a charm.
Oh and after doing a brake job always pump the brake a few times before you drive it.
