I did a search and the results didn't have an answer to what i wanted to know..

I just got some ITR cams and i was wondering if upgrading to skunk2s would be a noticeable upgrade? I haven't installed the ITR cams yet but i'm thinking of selling them for something a little more aggressive. Can those of you who have had both feel a difference on the butt dyno?

 

i did. i had itr in my gsr. i just put in some skunks about a month ago. my *** says the car is faster at about 5500 and up

 

My test of Skunk type 1's showed them steady more HP after VTEC...
with as much as 14 WHP at 8500.

malicegsr: have you checked if there is any wear or tear on your head or valvetrain from the cams?

yea ive been checking, and they are fine. that one dude just had a bad set

just one last question....was the comparison with equal variables? Cause i remember a few months back you had a comparison between the skunk2 cams and ITR cams and the ITR cams pissed all over the skunk2 cams midrange and the skunk2 only had a tiny bit more top power.

hey jeff do you have the dyno chart for the skunk2 vs type R? Is that 14 peak hp over the type R? I wanna see how it looks through out the mid range.Thanks. Btw i already looked through your website and couldnt find it

 

Are we talking about the stage ones? I might just sell my CTR cam and get the stage ones if its 14 HP over the type cams

 

Can we see this chart? I only gained 9 hp over my R cams and my peak is around 8200 rpm.

 

just get the stage2 skunk2 cams... or try to get the junII intake cam and keep the itr exhaust cam...

 

i called group a the other day and they said \
level 1 =14-17 whp
and level 2=20-25 whp
i dont think its very accurate. but its worth a shot i guess.
there was a dude on here the other day that only put out a few whp out of them . . maybe they were bad or not tuned right?

 

This is on a type R. Green is R cams and Blue& Red are Skunk I cams semi-tuned. I'm still trying!

Its 15+

Notice the higher you rev, the more it makes over Type-R.

yeah that'd be interesting for us non-itr owners I think jeff is working on a built gsr motor for his stage 2/3 cams though.
