When I turn the lights or heater or radio on, the idle will start bouncing from 500 - 1300? Any clues?

wow , 800 to 1300. thats a pretty big jump... im not too sure what be prob might be.. but im gonna take a guess maybe its the altinator?? dont take my word for it tho, bc im not sure.. does it do it when any other electronics are turned on??

 

i would have to guess your altenator. But i wouldnt think it would make the idle jump like that.

I am having the same problem, my idle fluctuates every so often when something electrical changes, like the fan kicks in. It will start fluctuating between 800 and 1100???

Iv been trying for weeks to fix it but got nowhere??

 

Mine jumps 100rpm when using the sunroof, lights, heater and every once and a while while idleing(probably the fan kicking in. I am guessing it is my underdrive pullies(aem) my idle jumps up for a second then back down to normal.

 

Mine does the same thing. The rpm jumps at idle when I turn the steering wheel as well.

I think its my alternator since my car still kinda hesistates when starting even with a new Optima Red Top.
