Default greddy emailed me today and...

ive been talking with them back and fourth about e-manage and i last asked them if it would be okay to use dsm 450cc injectors with e-manage and this is what they told me...

my last email:

"how large of injectors would you suggest? i have a 93 civic. is there such a thing as getting injectors that are too big? would dsm 450cc injectors be okay?"

greddy's response:

"Yes, the emanage can only handle injectors 50% larger than stock. I would say about 310cc injector is the largest you can go. RC Engineering should have that injector if you plan on purchasing it. Thanks for your email."

WTF? only 50% larger than stock?? that seems unbelievable. i know there has to be people out there with e-manage using WAAAY bigger injectors. but 310 is the highest i can go?? thats gheyness. i wanted to get dsm's because they are cheap but now it looks like i have to shell out the money and buy RC engineering a new mansion.

I took it as the main unit can only handle injectors 1 1/2 of the stockers. ie 240cc>360cc. But if you have the optional Support tool and optional Injector Harness, you could go much bigger.

Check this link for info/manuals:

i've used and emanage with rc 440's and it worked fine. I currently still use that emanage with rc 650's, making 380 hp and 300 lb. of torque. Still working fine and idling fine. I've been told all along that the emange sucked and it wouldn't work, but I deceided to keep using it until it actually did give out on me and wouldn't idle the bigger injectors. Hasn't happned yet.

I agree...I used 450's and 550's and it worked fine...It's not as clean as a standalone but it definitely worked.

Dont expect much help or tech support from those guys over at greddy...I dealt with them for a while when having e-manage and blue box issues..They were nice and all guys and all, they just didnt seem properly trained on the products they sell...

If you only wanted to run the kit at the 5psi that it comes with, well the stock d16z6 injectors be fine?

For the d16z6 kit.

I ran the Greddy TD05-18G kit with RC 440 Injectors and the Greddy E-manage and we were able to make 275whp/217ftlb of torque at 13lbs of boost on my B16. The only problem that we incountered was the wastegate spiking, but other than that we had no issues. Duty Cycle on the Injectors was 85%.

Just finished assisting tuning 2 cars with the E-manage utilizing the support tool. One w/ 440cc injectors, the other w/ 550cc injectors on a Prelude. The idle is on point, and extremely drivable. On the stock prelude, it was 298whp, 242ft/lbs at only 8psi, and the LS was 253whp, 230ft/lbs @ 10 psi.

I was extremely pleased w/ both results, and if you understand the functionality of the product, it works complete wonders..
