I used to make boost all the time in every gear and now I randomly make it and sometimes I don't. I rarely make it in first now. And sometimes not in any gears at all.

Well a few days I was flipping the wastegate around to run open wastegate. And I hit this part

and now it's loose. It tried to turn it clockwise to tighten it and it never tightened. Is this my problem? I'm stumped

 

yea, that would be a big problem.... it takes a pretty big thump to loosen the head... now you have to pull it apart and retighten the nut insdie the wg

 

Dammit. Ok thanks. And the reason it probably fell apart so easily is the fact that it's a shitty wastegate from a shitty ebay kit. And I don't have the money to replace it, but it's been keeping steady boost with no spikes, so I'm in no hurry.
