Default "Chipping/reprogramming" an ECU?

Is it possible to have an ecu reprogrammed to ignore certain sensors? Like the shift lock solenoid for AT's and the electronic load detector? Short story is I throw a code 20 anytime I turn my ignition on, but dont start the car. As long as I start the car it doesnt trip, the ELD is good so grrr.. Any places to ask would be appreciated.

Alot of programs remove certain sensors (knock for example) but I am pretty unsure about shift lock solenoids and the other mentioned. I'm sure they can all be removed, but I know a lot of work goes into it.

Yes, you can disable many different sensors individually. To ignore the AT lockup, you can convert it to manual, and the ELD can be disabled in the rom by chipping the ECU. I can help you with that, or there are others as well. See the link in my sig for more info.

Sweet, I appreciate it. Once I get everything ripped out and figure out what I want done I'll pm you, but we all know how long these "little" projects can take. I just wanted to make sure it could be done before I went ripping crap out.
