RedLine Track Events?

Is this place reputable and has anyone heard of it? Seems fun and a good way to learn the basics.
Any feedback would be great.

Yes they are in my opinion one the best organizations to run with when you are starting out. Two things I like running with them is because They are organized and they don't over book themselves that is probably why they are very organized
and for some reason people that go run with them on track events are mature enough and responsible thus making it a incident free organization , but accidents will do happen like in any form of motorsports.
Goodluck

I give redline
as well for the reasons mentioned above. A couple of great guys that know what they're doing.

I ran with them this past weekend at buttonwillow (there is a thread about this event going). Even tho this was an HPDE and not a race I had a great time! the time attack they ran that weekend was a lot of fun too.. the guys that organize is really want to make sure you are having safe fun! not to mention you get a lots of track time for the money!.

Just go with the right attitude, to have fun and learn. Track driving technique takes a while to develop (I still have a long way to go in this hobby), and try to remember safety. Most ppl drive their cars to the track, so you wanna make sure you'll drive it back home. That's the most impressive thing you can do.
Having said that, take the class, and if you have time, learn the track before you get there (find out if they're running CW or CCW). Check the link for lots of tips on driving and HPDE:
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=353425
Take a hat, sunscreen, make sure the fluids in your car are fairly fresh, brake pads are good, do the tech inspection (there is a sheet at the redline page); don't forget the helmet, as you can't rent one at Willow Springs. A tent also helps if you have one. Redline usually has plenty of free water, but a small cooler with Gatorade helps me a lot in the summer. I'm sure I'm leaving lots of things out, but someone else will chime in to add.

I've ran with Redline 3 times so far and had a good time at all 3. They're organized and they seem very responsive to people doing stupid things. I'll probably be at the June 17th event too.
For a first timer the most important thing is to start out slower than you think you can go and progressivly get faster throughout the day. There's no need to go ***** out on the first lap of the first session (that's good advice for all levels). It's not a race so don't feel like you have to b faster than X-car.
I encourage all 1st timers to sign up for the class that they offer. It's cheap and well worth it. Jeremy is good at explaining things and will show you "the line". Then go out there and practice being smooth and staying on line. Before you know it you will be going much faster than if you just went out and started "driving fast".
Most of all have fun and don't be afraid to ask for advice from other people out there (look for people who are in the advanced group).
Also, make sure your car is up to par for tracking. Before the event check over everything. Make sure you have enough oil. Bleed the brakes (using a higher temp fluid is best), make sure your brake pads are good. Check over the suspension to be sure that everything is ok. Before each run session (and before going home) check the torque on the lug nuts. This is important because the lugs can (and do) start to loosen up. At the end of each session make sure you run a nice cool-down lap where you keep the speed up enough to flow air through the radiator, but slow enough to where you aren't using the brakes at all. This will help cool the brakes down and stop the rotors from warping.
If you come out to the June 17th even look for a green civic coupe. I'll probably be pitted with a couple 240sx's and a 350z.
OK enough babbling from me...

J/K, your drivers' meeting is pretty thorough and indispensable, especially for beginners.

Wow! Thanks for the kind words everyone.
It's nice to see that we're actually doing our job out there at the track.
I have to say though, we couldn't be more lucky when we get drivers like you all at our events. Most everyone who shows at a Redline event are the best group of people you could want at the track. No attitudes, no showoffs, and everyone always seems to get along. You guys handle that responsibility of track driving so well. You help out with the less experienced people, and are always communicating to me what's happening on track. I've noticed that when you all get to the track, it doesn't matter what car you drive, what your age is, or what area code you live in, you all just seem to get it. And that my friends is the most important thing.
OK, I think that's enough...
Thanks,
Chris

I'll be there... Unless I run Horsethief Mile.
I've sat out this season b/c of school. I haven't seen any of your ugly faces in ages.
Speaking of not going out to HPDE ...where has SonicBlueTeg been? ... I haven't seen her at HPDEs in a while... have any of you seen her AppleKat lately? I told her to drive in this event but I think she's brining her Car out on aug7 at buttonwillow.
