Default H23A (jdm motor, not hybrid) questions

I've access to an excellent deal on a H23A VTEC (blue top), and i have a few questions
* what is the redline for that motor ? (since it has 55mm mains..) - i need to know if i must take a H22 tranny with it or not
* is it OBD2 ? In that case is it easy to wire it from an OBD1 harness ?
* if i put H22 Type S pistons will i have to modify the rods or will they fit directly ?
* what are the injectors on that one, peak & hold, or saturated ? It's important so i know if i can just drop it in place of my H23A
So, if anyone has that kind of motor i'll be glad to hear how it went for them.

Let me guess 1400? If it's a automatic H23 motor which it probaly will be then it will be less HP. It will take a H22 tranny. Just get a h22 motor. I looked in to it and even the guy who was gonna sell me the motor told me a h22 would be a wiser decision. Though dont get me wrong a H23a motor under the hood would be sweet. Also as far a compression i beleive that motor is already close to 11:1 compression so i wouldn't even wasite my money on postons. As far as injectors i beleive their what ever the obd2 preludes have which is peak & hold (i think).

in my case a H22 would cost over $3000 (with shipping and taxes), and i can have this one (H23 VTEC) for less than half that price (more like $1200). Furthermore in my country i cannot swap another engine i must keep the H23A code or else i won't be able to drive my car on the street. In short please don't contest my decision answering the questions would be very fine. I need to know if i can keep my H23 tranny, my current wire harness, and if i can plug in the injectors directly.

Yes you can reuse your h23 tranny and your original wiring harness... You might have to change some dist wiring but that is no biggie, and you'll have to wire up VTEC, but the wires should already exist in the harness... Not sure about the injectors... My guess is that they would probably be saturated 290cc... But if I were you I would want some of the 345cc peak and hold injectors, especially since you'll probably be running it off of an obd1 P13 ECU...

i'll be running an AEM EMS (the 1040, for OBD1) anyway. My only concern with injectors is electrical, i don't want to blow a fuse or get a headache getting them to work properly
