obd2 Jdm H22
Just curious if u could get an obd2 jdm h22, Puttting it in an 96-00 civic, it would simplify the wiring correct?
If the civic ex harness was used then
Injector clips could be left alone? No need to wire a resisitor box? And the dizzy and alternatr would be plug and play? And no need for an obd2-obd1 jumper harness, U could just use the ecu that comes with teh h22?
As for the mechanicals, of the 0bd2 Engine versus obd1 nothing changes correct? Still use accord fuel rail, teg axles etc...
Any help here greatly appreciated.
PS. Ive searched, and ive found plenty info on the obd1 h22 but nothing that answere these questions regarding and obd2. If u wanna flame me flame on. Just trying to figure this stuff out.

distributor wiring may need to be relocated or extended. and alternator wiring....well on a civic that is on teh back of the block....an h22 has the alternator on the front of the block....maybe 12-16 inches from where it is on a D/B series....

Re: (v4lu3s)
I know i still have to extand certain wires, I dont mind that at all, I just wanna know if its a bit easier to install the obd2 motor, But thats not the only reason i would like an obd2, its simple its a newwer motor.

yes, the ecu pin locations are the same between '97 JDM & US OBD2 Prelude ecu's. Good thing you have a 97 prelude ecu. That was the last year of OBD2 prelude ECU's with no immobilizer...
